Charles B. Marek, III
Charles B. Marek, III is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Transactions Group, and he represents clients in a variety of matters involving real property. His practice areas include real estate transactions, commercial financing and administrative zoning and development.
From a transactional perspective he assists purchasers and sellers on all the steps of a real estate acquisition from contract to closing. Mr. Marek also has experience with financing various real estate matters from both the lender’s and purchaser’s perspective, and helps clients to draft and review loans documents involving both purchase and construction aspects. Moreover, in his administrative practice he assists clients seeking to develop real estate by navigating the complex zoning and development requirements for the greater Baltimore region.
Mr. Marek’s educational background began in the Baltimore area at Gilman School. After graduating, he went to college at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he completed his B.A. in 2003. Desiring to strengthen his local and regional ties, Mr. Marek went to law school in Washington, DC and graduated cum lade from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2006. While enrolled at Washington College of Law, Mr. Marek was a member of the prestigious International Law Review.
Continuing to involve himself in the community, Mr. Marek remains active in several local and professional organizations, including the Baltimore County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Board for the Community Assistance Network.
